Mold is a fungus that grows in warm, damp areas inside homes. It produces spores that are released into the air and can cause allergy and asthma symptoms as well as eye, nose, throat, and skin irritation. Uneven surfaces or walls that appear to be bowed may also indicate potential mold problems.
